I swear just yesterday she was a swaddled little bun in my arms. Now, at almost 7 months, she is a squiggly, wiggly, squirming little girl. Well, to tell the truth, I still think of her as a little sex-less larva. With earrings. But she is definitely turning into a person, with a personality, and moves for days.
I've seen plenty of pictures and heard stories of babies coming to their mothers, pulling their shirts down, and stuffing boobs into their mouths. Until now, Baby S was nowhere near so capable.
But I have noticed in the last couple of weeks that she is getting there. Sitting on the couch, her head will be up near mine. Then, quickly, she'll squirm down my body and stick her head in my boobs. I imagine her saying, Open up, lady! I need a drink! as she rubs her face insistently in my breasts. She also has started tugging on my shirt- not quite sure how it works yet, but knowing that somewhere under that fabric, a delicious meal awaits.
I know it's coming. Any day now, she'll learn to unsnap my nursing bra. They grow too fast!
That's too funny. I remember when Charlotte was about your little one's age - We were in line to check out at Gymboree. I was wearing her facing me in a carrier, and she started motor-boating me. So embarrassing!
