free-boobin' it

I did it. Whipped my boob out in public to nurse without covering up, in the free air, for all eyes to see.

It was yesterday, at the park. Granted, we were on a part of the playground where the sun was beating down on the metal swings and monkey bars, so there wasn't a crowd. A couple of younger kids, playing on the see-saw- they didn't seem to think anything of it. Some teenagers sitting on a bench across from us- but the boy seemed more interested in the girl's boobs than mine.

Baby S woke up from a nap, and had been fussy when I tried to feed her earlier with a scarf over her. So I made the decision to dive right in, anxieties be damned.

It felt good. Curiously, I was more nervous about what my friend (also a mother of two), who was sitting in the grass behind us, would think, since she always nursed covered up.

Beware playgrounds of America! Baby S is hungry....
